The specific Wi-Fi network is offered for the creation of a maintenance and expansion community (community building). The technology used allows easy and immediate expansion of the network, in any direction, by simply placing and powering a node that is in reception radius with the network.
For example, the networks that will be developed in the central squares of the Tribe, can easily be extended to the wider area by mobilizing residents or businesses, who will place an extension node on their balcony or roof.
The cost of each node is particularly low and it is placed with great ease while no setup is needed.
The development of the “Social WiFi” network in the Municipality of Fylis can, through the participation of the citizens in its operation and expansion, contribute
in strengthening local entrepreneurship, since young entrepreneurs can exploit and expand the technology of “Social WiFi” at a local level and create new innovation and technology businesses, which will lead to new jobs and the development of the local economy.
